 -a film that is not owned by a big conglomerate- Lady Bird, Moonlight, Get Out. 

- Made outside of Hollywood studio system (the big 6) 

Independent VS Conglomerate- low budget, different assets, lack of famous actors

Described as a no budget film - initially recorded without sound (Added in post production)
